Measure the right things at the right time. Create value through your people.

We believe performance management is about creating a culture of continuous improvement and we love developing and encouraging a high performance ethos.

Performance management may mean different things to different people. For us, the concept of performance management is crystal clear – it’s about creating a culture that encourages the continuous improvement of business processes and of individuals’ skills, behaviour and contributions.

Performance management systems must be strategic. It must cover broad issues and long-term goals, and it must be integrated. That is, it must link to various aspects of the business, and talent management processes.

We ask our clients to focus on the ‘what’ and ‘how’. The ‘what’ is all about identifying and agreeing job objectives for all employees, that are specific, identifiable, quantifiable and measurable. The ‘how’ is about people knowing the behaviours that they must have, or must acquire, to perform effectively at work.

We help our clients develop and implement a comprehensive performance management process by breaking it down into four components:

  1. Governance;
  2. Setting objectives;
  3. Preparing for the appraisal; and
  4. Giving and receiving feedback
