Performance management systems must be strategic. It must cover broad issues and long-term goals, and it must be integrated. That is, it must link to various aspects of the business, and talent management processes.

We ask our clients to focus on the ‘what’ and ‘how’. The ‘what’ is all about identifying and agreeing job objectives for all employees, that are specific, identifiable, quantifiable and measurable. The ‘how’ is about people knowing the behaviours that they must have, or must acquire, to perform effectively at work.
